Welcome Year 6 Students and Families

We wish to extend a very warm welcome to our Year 6 students and their families. We are excited to welcome you to Outwood Academy Portland and Outwood Grange Academies Trust. We look forward to making the journey through secondary school with you.

We know that students and their families might feel both excited and nervous about the changes that are to come in moving from primary to secondary school. This website aims to support the transition virtually. Please take the opportunity, to explore all the different areas of the website. You'll find a virtual tour of the academy buildings and specialist classrooms, you'll be able to meet our Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Department and many of the other staff who work throughout the academy. You will also find activities, such as our interactive timetable, that students and families can work through - and much more!

A note about COVID-19: At Outwood Grange Academies Trust we continue to follow government guidance on schools. This guidance is being updated daily and we aim to keep you as informed as possible.

Data Collection Form

In the next stage of the transition process, we require important information about your child. Completing the data capture form should take no longer than 10 minutes. You will be prompted at the start of the form to enter your child’s OGAT Student Reference Number, which can be found in the letter you have received from us, to enable us to verify your identity. The form will take you through a series of questions. Whilst it is possible to complete on a mobile phone, it would be advisable to access the form on a tablet or computer.
